Howdy! I’m Amanda Tabares-Collins, the founder of TaCo Photography, based in San Antonio, TX. Raised in a small, multi-racial family, I’ve always valued love, connection, and diversity. My journey into photography began at Texas A&M while studying Biology, and it quickly grew into a passion for capturing life’s precious moments. Whoop!
In 2020, after experiencing several losses, my spouse and I joyfully welcomed our rainbow baby girl. To document her milestones, I turned to photography—and soon, I was capturing special moments for family and friends. This sparked the idea to help other families preserve their memories, too.
In 2024, I took the leap and founded TaCo Photography LLC, with a mission to create a welcoming, inclusive space for families of all backgrounds. I’m honored to document milestones, from newborns to graduations, and celebrate the beautiful moments in between.

When I picked a camera up again, it was to capture the small memories of my family to try to make them last a lifetime. I never would have imagined how one decision to document my family would change the trajectory of my career and life.
